Assessing the long term manometric outcomes in patients with previous laparoscopic anorectoplasty (LARP) and posterior sagittal anorectoplasty (PSARP)

Comparative study of 30 patients shows laparoscopic anorectoplasty (LARP) achieves superior long-term outcomes versus posterior sagittal anorectoplasty (PSARP) for anorectal malformations. LARP patients demonstrated significantly higher bowel function scores and sphincter resting pressures on manometric assessment at median 9-year follow-up.
