Characterization of initial North American pediatric surgical response to the COVID-19 pandemic

Survey of 38 North American pediatric surgery programs reveals widespread pandemic-driven policy changes including reduced staffing, expanded telehealth, and universal trauma precautions. Significant practice variation existed in procedure scheduling, testing protocols, and PPE use during the initial COVID-19 response.
