Published: Reading: 1 min

Topic overview

Retrospective study of 91 pediatric caustic esophageal stricture patients demonstrates that contrast swallow study has only moderate reliability (ICC=0.6) for measuring stricture length compared to endoscopy, with 5.5% false negatives and 7.6% false positives.
