Intracellular localization of beta-catenin expression plays a possible prognostic role on the outcome of hepatoblastoma patients
Topic overview
Retrospective study of 28 hepatoblastoma patients found that cytoplasmic beta-catenin expression was associated with poor chemotherapy response and increased vascular involvement compared to nuclear expression. Intracellular localization of beta-catenin may serve as a prognostic biomarker to guide treatment intensity in pediatric liver tumors.
