Atypical rectoscrotal and rectoperineal fistula in male anorectal malformations: a case series of non-detaching strategies for preventing urethral injury

Case series describes three male patients with atypical anorectal malformations featuring rectoscrotal or rectoperineal fistulas in close proximity to the urethra. Modified surgical approaches using non-detaching strategies successfully preserved urethral integrity while achieving fistula repair, with no urological complications at follow-up.
