Operative management of urachal remnants: An NSQIP based study of postoperative complications

This NSQIP analysis of 476 pediatric urachal resections found a 3.3% complication rate, with younger infants (median age 0.1-0.4 years) experiencing significantly higher rates of reoperation and readmission compared to older children. The findings suggest age is an important risk factor when considering surgical timing for urachal remnants.
