Timing of the definitive procedure and ileostomy closure for total colonic aganglionosis HD: Systematic review

Systematic review of 218 TCA-HD patients found no correlation between timing of definitive pull-through surgery or ileostomy closure and postoperative diaper rash rates. Evidence does not support delaying ileostomy closure until toilet training, as perianal complications occur infrequently regardless of surgical timing.
