This review examines the application of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols to adolescent bariatric surgery, a population where outcomes have not been previously described. The authors trace ERAS evolution from adult colorectal surgery to pediatric subspecialties and present the protocol developed at Children's Hospital Colorado.
