Quality of life outcomes in children born with duodenal atresia

This prospective cohort study evaluated long-term quality of life in 38 children who underwent neonatal surgery for duodenal atresia, finding that most achieve QoL comparable to healthy peers. Children with concurrent trisomy 21 showed reduced overall QoL scores but maintained similar gastrointestinal-specific outcomes.
