Open versus robot-assisted laparoscopic ureteral reimplantation: Hospital charges analysis and outcomes at a single institution

Age-matched comparison of 38 open vs 38 robotic ureteral reimplantation cases for vesicoureteral reflux found equivalent total hospital charges and clinical success rates (94.8% both groups). Higher OR costs for robotic cases were offset by shorter hospital stays and lower pharmacy/lab charges.
