Follow-up outcomes of pediatric patients who underwent surgical resection for lipoblastomas or lipoblastomatosis: a single-institution experience with a systematic review and meta-analysis

Systematic review and meta-analysis of 381 pediatric patients with lipoblastoma/lipoblastomatosis found a 16.8% recurrence rate after surgical resection. Incomplete resection and lipoblastomatosis subtype significantly increased recurrence risk, with events occurring up to 8 years post-surgery, supporting extended follow-up beyond 3-5 years.
