Reoperative complications following pediatric liver transplantation

Retrospective analysis of 144 pediatric liver transplants identifying a 9% reoperation rate within 30 days, most commonly for bleeding and bowel complications. While reoperation significantly extended hospital stay (39 vs 11 days), it did not impact graft survival, with variant donor arterial anatomy and increased transfusion requirements identified as univariable risk factors.
