A pilot study of the effectiveness of a serious game CliniPup® on perioperative anxiety and pain in children

Randomized trial of 72 children (ages 5-11) found that the CliniPup® serious game significantly reduced preoperative anxiety one week before ambulatory surgery compared to standard oral information, though effects did not persist to day-of-surgery or affect perioperative pain levels.
