Effectiveness and Tolerability of Mirabegron in Children with Overactive Bladder: A Retrospective Pilot Study

This retrospective pilot study of 70 children with refractory overactive bladder found mirabegron improved symptoms in 70% of patients at 6 months, with 58% showing improvement in daytime incontinence and 60% in urinary frequency. Treatment was generally well-tolerated with normal cardiovascular monitoring, though 47% discontinued due to ineffectiveness or adverse effects including headaches and gastrointestinal symptoms.
