Increased hand digit length ratio (2D:4D) is associated with increased severity of hypospadias in pre-pubertal boys

Study of 105 pre-pubertal boys demonstrates that increased 2D:4D digit ratios correlate with proximal hypospadias severity and shortened anogenital distance. Findings suggest digit ratio may serve as a non-invasive biomarker for aberrant urogenital development, potentially detectable antenatally.
