Circumstances surrounding gun violence with youths in an urban setting

This epidemiologic study analyzes 326 pediatric gunshot wound cases at urban trauma centers from 2013-2017, identifying high-risk zip codes and circumstances including drive-by shootings (47%) and unsecured firearms (19%). The authors propose targeted community interventions based on geographic and circumstantial data to reduce youth firearm injuries.
