Study demonstrates significant downregulation of DCLK1-positive tuft cells in both aganglionic and ganglionic colon segments of Hirschsprung's disease patients, suggesting tuft cells play a role in cholinergic neurotransmission. Findings reveal that even ganglionic segments are physiologically abnormal in HSCR.
