CO2 Pneumoperitoneum Effects on Molecular Markers of Tumor Invasiveness in SH-SY5Y Neuroblastoma Cells

Laboratory study examining whether CO2 pneumoperitoneum used in laparoscopic surgery affects neuroblastoma cell invasiveness. Findings show that 4-hour CO2 exposure does not significantly alter expression of key tumor aggressiveness markers (N-Myc, VEGF, MMP-2) in SH-SY5Y cells, suggesting laparoscopy may be safe for neuroblastoma resection.
