The role of preoperative imaging and tumor markers in predicting malignant ovarian masses in children

This retrospective study of 139 pediatric patients (2010-2015) identified key predictors of malignant ovarian masses: tumor diameter ≥10cm, solid/complex imaging characteristics, and abnormal tumor markers. These preoperative factors guide surgical approach—radical resection for high-risk features versus ovarian-sparing surgery for low-risk cases.
