The American Pediatric Surgical Association (APSA) held its 50th meeting this past year. In this January issue, the papers that were accepted by the APSA Publications Committee are published. The APSA Publications Committee did a wonderful job in determining which papers were appropriate and suitable for publication. In addition, Elsevier is publishing a supplemental to this APSA issue. The supplement contains the historical vignettes by Dr. Don Nakayama about the development of pediatric surgery and the formation of APSA.
