Differences in primary hyperparathyroidism characteristics between children and adolescents

Retrospective study of 14 pediatric pHPT patients reveals distinct clinical patterns: children (≤15y) present predominantly with bone disease and higher calcium/PTH levels, while adolescents show more renal manifestations including kidney stones. Findings support age-stratified treatment approaches in young pHPT patients.
