Enhanced metastatic growth after local tumor resection in the presence of synchronous metastasis in a mouse allograft model of neuroblastoma

Mouse model study demonstrates that resecting primary neuroblastoma tumors accelerates growth of synchronous microscopic metastases. Resection group showed significantly higher metastatic burden compared to observation group, suggesting surgical timing critically impacts metastatic progression in high-risk neuroblastoma.
