A pilot study comparing parent and adolescent online health information seeking behaviours in elective pediatric surgical situations

This pilot study reveals significant gaps between how adolescent surgical patients and their parents seek and understand health information online. Despite high internet access, children often couldn't name their condition and relied more on peers than official sources, while parents underestimated their child's knowledge gaps.
