The effect of APTR, Fn14 and CD133 expressions on liver fibrosis in biliary atresia patients

Study of 19 Indonesian biliary atresia patients found APTR expression significantly elevated in BA liver tissue compared to controls, suggesting a role in liver fibrogenesis. CD133 expression correlated with patient survival but not with age at Kasai procedure or cirrhosis presence, while Fn14 showed no significant difference between groups.
