Validation of the PRESTO Score in Injured Children in a South-African Quaternary Trauma Center

This validation study demonstrates that the PRESTO mortality prediction model performs comparably to ISS in a South African quaternary trauma center, with an AUC of 0.82. The model's reliance on readily available clinical variables makes it particularly valuable for risk-adjustment in resource-limited settings treating injured children.
