The effects of hydrogen-rich saline solution on intestinal anastomosis performed after intestinal ischemia reperfusion injury

This rat model study demonstrates that hydrogen-rich saline solution reduces tissue damage and apoptosis while improving anastomotic bursting pressure in intestinal anastomoses performed after ischemia-reperfusion injury. HRSS shows promise as a protective intervention for high-risk intestinal surgery.
