A survey of adults with anorectal malformations: perspectives on educational, vocational, and psychosocial experiences

Survey of 125 adults with anorectal malformations reveals significant ongoing psychosocial challenges beyond medical complications, including high rates of depression (82%) and anxiety (81%), limited workplace accommodations (24%), and employment difficulties. Findings emphasize the need for integrated psychosocial support throughout the lifespan to address educational, vocational, and mental health needs in this population.
