Early complications after laparoscopic resection of choledochal cyst

Retrospective analysis of 231 pediatric choledochal cyst cases treated laparoscopically found a 3% conversion rate and early complications in 9% of patients, primarily biliary fistula. Proper preoperative imaging interpretation and surgical experience minimize complications, with all patients showing normalized liver function at follow-up.
