The Relationship between Oxidative Stress Markers in Exhaled Breath Condensate and Respiratory Problems in Patients with Repaired Esophageal Atresia

Case-control study examining oxidative stress biomarkers in exhaled breath condensate of 29 esophageal atresia patients with respiratory problems. Findings show significantly lower glutathione levels compared to controls, with reduced inflammatory markers in patients receiving PPI therapy or fundoplication, suggesting GER management may mitigate oxidative airway damage.
