Neurodevelopmental impairment in children with congenital diaphragmatic hernia: Not an uncommon complication for survivors

Systematic review of 3,541 CDH patients found 23% developed neurodevelopmental impairment, with significantly higher rates in ECMO-treated survivors (49%) versus non-ECMO patients (22%). Study identifies NDI as a common complication requiring long-term surveillance and evaluates neuroimaging findings and predictive risk factors.
