Establishment of a biobank for human lung tissues of congenital diaphragmatic hernia and congenital pulmonary airway malformation

Researchers established a biobank of lung tissue samples from 16 CDH and 18 CPAM patients with age-matched controls, spanning gestational ages and childhood. The archived formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues showed good RNA quality and are linked to clinical data, enabling future translational studies of congenital lung disease pathogenesis.
