Biobanking for necrotizing enterocolitis: Needs and standards

This review describes the NEC Society Biorepository, a specialized biobank designed to advance necrotizing enterocolitis research through standardized collection and sharing of biological specimens from premature infants. The infrastructure supports biomarker discovery and drug development by providing high-quality samples with associated clinical data to researchers studying this devastating neonatal disease.
