Female reproductive structures found in inguinal hernia sacs: A retrospective review

This retrospective study found an 11.2% incidence of prolapsed ovarian/fallopian tube tissue in female inguinal hernias. Affected patients were significantly younger, more premature at birth, and less likely to have right-sided hernias compared to those without adnexal findings.
