Surgical treatment of hydatidothorax in children: A retrospective study of 19 patients

Retrospective study of 19 pediatric patients with ruptured pulmonary hydatid cysts into the pleural cavity treated surgically via thoracotomy and decortication. Conservative lung-sparing procedures were successful in most cases, with low complication rates and no recurrence over 2-year follow-up, emphasizing the importance of early intervention.
