Long-Term Effectiveness of Antireflux Surgery in Esophageal Atresia Patients

Long-term follow-up study of 99 esophageal atresia patients shows antireflux procedures do not effectively reduce reflux index at 7 and 15 years post-surgery. Patients who underwent antireflux surgery had lower weight in early childhood but caught up by age 15, with birth weight being the primary predictor of growth outcomes.
