Measuring the impact of surgical intervention on pediatric pectus excavatum using white light scanning

Study validates white light scanning as a radiation-free alternative to CT for measuring pectus excavatum correction after Nuss procedure in 71 pediatric patients. The novel Hebal-Malas Index showed significant postoperative improvement, demonstrating WLS effectiveness for objective pre- and post-surgical assessment without ionizing radiation exposure.
