Anorectal malformations and perineal hemangiomas: The Arm-Net Consortium experience

This ARM-Net Consortium study of 10 patients demonstrates that perineal hemangiomas complicating anorectal malformations should be treated with systemic beta-blockers before definitive surgical repair. Patients who underwent PSARP without preoperative medical management experienced significant complications including mislocated neoanus and perineal dehiscence, while those treated with beta-blockers had uneventful repairs.
