Need for urodynamic evaluation as a regular follow-up tool in assessment of long-term urological outcomes in patients with sacrococcygeal teratoma

This prospective cohort study of 57 pediatric SCT patients demonstrates that urodynamic evaluation detects bladder dysfunction in 49% of cases, including 6 patients with no clinical symptoms or imaging abnormalities. The findings suggest urodynamic studies should be routine in SCT follow-up to prevent progressive upper tract damage.
