Diversion pharyngostomy: a new surgical technique to manage salivary aspiration associated with complete esophageal stenosis

This article describes a novel pharyngostomy technique designed to prevent salivary aspiration in patients with complete esophageal obstruction by surgically diverting saliva flow. The procedure addresses a critical complication in patients with chronic upper digestive tract occlusion who cannot safely manage their own secretions.
