Crystalloid Administration Is Associated with the Recovery of Pediatric Elective Roux-en-Y Hepaticojejunostomy

Retrospective study of 471 pediatric patients undergoing Roux-en-Y hepaticojejunostomy demonstrates that restrictive crystalloid administration (<15.27 mL/kg/h) correlates with faster gastrointestinal recovery, fewer postoperative complications, and shorter hospital stays compared to liberal fluid strategies.
