Letter to the Editor in Response to: Association of Operative Approach With Postoperative Outcomes in Neonates Undergoing Surgical Repair of Esophageal Atresia and Tracheoesophageal Fistula

We read with interest the recent article published in the November 2024 issue, comparing open and minimally invasive (MIS) approaches for oesophageal atresia/tracheoesophageal fistula (OA/TOF) using the NSQIP database (PMID: 39147683). While this work advances our practice knowledge, we would like to highlight the following limitations for discussion:
