Letter to the Editor in Response to: What Proportion of Children With Complex Oesophageal Atresia Require Oesophageal Lengthening Procedures?

We read with interest Phillips and Jaffray's article on success of delayed primary anastomosis (DPA) for complex oesophageal atresia (OA) [1]. While we value the ‘words of caution’ regarding adoption of novel procedures, the manuscript is biased. For debate, one must consider the merits and drawbacks of DPA and traction for challenging cases of OA.
