Response to: Effect of COVID-19 on Pediatric Appendectomy Presentations and Complications

We read, with significant interest, the article recently published by the colleagues Li & Saleh [1]. The study aimed to examine the effects of COVID-19 on pediatric patients with acute appendicitis (PAA) with regard to presentations and complications. The authors performed a chart review of pediatric patients admitted with a diagnosis of appendicitis from March to June 2020. The data were then compared with an equivalent ‘pre-pandemic’ period.
