We read with much interest the article “Recurrence after laparoscopic high ligation in adolescents: A multi-center international retrospective study of ten hospitals. “[1] The premise of the study is interesting, and its relevance is underscored by the fact that adolescent indirect inguinal hernia repair is approached differently based on who is managing the case. [2] The study rightly focuses upon an area (results of laparoscopic hernia repair in adolescent population) which is often not focused upon or disregarded due to being a very small component of the patient load of the pediatric surgeon.
