Esophageal atresia (EA) is the most common congenital anomaly of esophagus with different anatomical variations [1]. Congenital esophageal web (CEW) is one of these rarely seen variations and can only be classified in Kluth's classification. Kluth reported a very detailed classification of all variants of esophageal anomalies in 1976 in Journal of Pediatric Surgery [2]. He classified EA into ten subgroups according to anatomy of upper and lower pouches, distance of gap, and presence of stenosis, membrane, duplication and esophagobronchial abnormalities [2].
