The introduction of laparoscopy has revolutionized the management of abdominal testes. Besides its superior diagnostic accuracy, management of the high testis with short vessels has become more accessible through applying minimally invasive techniques [1,2]. The ‘Fowler-Stephens’ principle is based on dividing the short testicular vessels to bring the high testis down to the scrotum while relying on collaterals for testicular viability [3]; this has been considered the gold standard at many centres all over the world.
