Collaboration first: Rethinking the surgery-first approach for pediatric choledocholithiasis

We read with interest the recent study by Lehane et al. on pediatric endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) findings in choledocholithiasis and their proposal for a surgery-first approach. While the authors present data suggesting potential ERCP overuse, several limitations warrant caution.
