We read with interest Costa–Roig et al.‘s study on detrusor pressure curve area indices (Simpson [SI], Trapezoidal [TI]) in pediatric neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction (NLUTD) [1]. Their demonstration that SI/TI surpass detrusor leak point pressure (DLPP) in predicting upper tract dilation (UTD), vesicoureteral reflux (VUR), and recurrent urinary tract infection (Tables 1–4) provides a clinically actionable solution to DLPP's limitation as a snapshot parameter [2,3].
