Septic shock in the pediatric population is one of the alarming conditions. Septic shock results from the Systemic inflammatory response to infection, which leads to cellular circulatory and metabolic abnormalities, ultimately resulting in high morbidity and mortality rates. An estimated 25 million cases of sepsis have been reported in pediatric and neonatal age groups, resulting in more than 3 million deaths across the globe. Increased septic load in the pediatric population has been reported to have a mortality rate of 25% across 26 countries.
