CCHMC Pilonidal Smart Phrases
Hello all. I have created a variety of Smart Phrases within Epic to facilitate much of what we do in
Pilonidal. The main list is here:
Metronidazole ointment: When ordering the Metronidazole 10% you need to order the medication as
"Metronidazole Powd." When you type that in and search it will not come up, but in your search results
box select "Database" in the top right corner. Then you should be able to find the order. If you need
help in doing this and customizing it as a preference to make it easier for the future, let me know. Once
you find it, under the "+Add Note to Pharmacy" you can use the
NRPILOMETRONIDAZOLEPHARMBLURB to explain what you want specifically. You must send the order
only to Biomed Pharmacy in West Chester, unless you find another compounding pharmacy to make it.
